SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

Who we are

Named after the dry coffee mill we reclaimed and now call home, Taller Beneficio Seco is a carpentry workshop rooted in the tropical jungles north of Tapachula, Chiapas.

We are dedicated to shifting the paradigm of production in a post-industrial world. We achieve this by reclaiming wood locally in the Soconusco region of southern Mexico. In collaboration with a team of local artisans, we transform this recovered material into objects designed to enhance the dwelling experience.

Owning a piece from Taller Beneficio Seco is an investment in more than just high-quality aesthetics. By purchasing our pieces, you directly fuel the cultural and economic development of our community, creating stable local opportunities and reducing the pressure for migration. Our brand's value is built on hand-crafted integrity, responsible production, and a deep respect for both the environment and the people who inhabit it.

MISSION

We exist to drive excellence in wood architecture and design while serving as an engine for regional development. Our process is built on direct collaboration with local carpenters, creating stable employment that combats migration due to lack of prospects and fuels socio-economic and cultural growth. Every product is a handcrafted, small-batch piece produced with integrity, upholding the highest standards of artisanal quality and sustainability.

VISION

Our vision is to establish Taller Beneficio Seco as the central hub for integral development in the Soconusco region of Chiapas. We will achieve this by perfecting local expertise in carpentry and wood design through continuous training and innovation, always prioritizing the professional growth of our community. Simultaneously, we aim to transform our estate into a livable, self-sustaining ecosystem, fostering a long-lasting and prosperous trade that ensures sustainable abundance for local families and expands growth opportunities for future generations in the region.
